Thing #23
Done, unfortunately a year late but still done. I bought myself a flash drive so that I wouldn't feel bad.
Thing #22
Finished reading Thing #22, don't know that I can promise I will visit my blog each day or even week but there are a couple of things that I have learned that I will enjoy. Library thing has been my favorite.
Thing #21
Just finished thing # 21, found a Rochester Public Library site on Ning and joined with a photo and a comment' Excellent.
Thing #20
Well I finally finished #20, bribed two people into being my friend, sent out requests to four more. I will go out in a few days and see if I have any more friends.

Thing # 17
I am quite aware of the ELM data bases and see their value. I admit to being frustrated with the fact that the right up mentions that they are free and available to all Minnesota citizens. As far as I am aware this is not true, at least for five small libraries who have chosen not to be a part of a regional system. They seem to be held hostage for their being independant. Those Minnesota citizens are not allowed free and equal access do to "turf protection".
Thing #15
after listening to and watching the video and reading about "Second Life" I don't really see it fitting in to the mission of the library. Considering the heavy use of our computers at this time, and the currant economic climate this seems to be something to be done at home rather than a library undertaking.
Thing #16
As a former teacher, I found this very interesting. I wish it had been available or that I had known about it when I taught. I do believe that it would be very helpful to both teachers and students. My daughter is in a masters program at the U of M and I am going to send this info to her. Another useful "Thing".

Thing # 12
I find myself getting more frustrated the farther into 23 Things I go. I read through comments and it seems that people spend most of their time complaing about friends, hackers, safety of sites. If there is that much concern, why do them?

Ting #11
I have to admit that I enjoyed this thing. I like the idea of tagging bookmarks and being able to find sites that have been tagged by others in my areas of interest. Pretty cool.

Thing #11
The RPL has a wiki used internally, I went in and added my cell phone number without breaking, destroying or otherwise causing any damage.
